On 25th April, A counter culture event was held in honour of World Malaria Day 2016.

The event consisted of a series of discussions exploring current matters of concern on the conception of tropical disease, biocontrol and the role that creative experimentation and policy might play.

Panel Guests included: Alexandre Motta (Immunologist / Unilever), Prof. Josep Perelló (OpenSystemsUB @ Universitat de Barcelona), dr. Arjo Roersch van der Hoogte (Historian & Independent Researcher) and dr. Niels Verhulst (Lab. of Entomology @ Wageningen University).

The topics were choreographed around ‘Ways of Knowing’, ‘Ways of Relating’ and ‘Ways of Acting’. Throughout the evening, DiY Bitters were exchanged for ‘matters of concern’ from the public, to promote open dialogues in and around tropical disease.
